We finally touched down at LAX, just before 9am LA time (3am Melbourne time). Luke was beside himself he was so tired and Rich and I were not much better. Chloe took a tumble in the Customs line, which saw us fast tracked through the queue.
We got all our luggage, two trolleys overflowing, one pram with two kids and a stack of hand luggage. I had pushed a trolley with one hand and the pram with the other. Rich had a trolley and pulled a small case behind stacked with more bags. The Immigration queue didn't take too long and we got a taxi straight away and only just managed to fit everything in.
The house at Santa Monica is exactly as seen on the internet and suits us perfectly. Over the last couple of days we have discovered it's in a great location, not far from the beach and a park and also walking distance to two separate shopping districts.
We haven't done much sightseeing yet, just the Santa Monica Pier. Luke was extremely keen to go on the dodgem cars (suitable for 3-9 year olds) and once on quickly changed his mind after moving about 2 feet. I don't think we will be queuing for the rides at Disneyland!!
WOW, this is great. I have not joined a blog before so this way we can track you all around the States. Sounds like your better settled now and the kids look happy at Santa Monica beach. We are all well here and kids just went on school hols yesterday so no mad morning rushes which is great. Stay safe, Kerri x
